Confluence, Georgia Adopt-A-Stream's (AAS) annual volunteer conference, includes hands-on water quality workshops, volunteer awards, and a water science poster session. This event brings together AAS volunteers, trainers, community partners, students and educators from across Georgia and beyond to build their knowledge about water quality monitoring and nonpoint source pollution.

This year, one of our own AAS volunteers, Ken Kloeblen is winning an award at Confluence and it's being held just over the mountain at Unicoi State Park near Helen, GA. You don't have to be an AAS volunteer to attend. And our student partners at Young Harris College are presenting a poster about riparian restoration work along Corn Creek, which is a tributary to Brasstown Creek that flows through the campus.
